Feasibility of merger

Worthing Together, and neighbouring LSP Adur in Partnership, engaged consultants to study the feasibility of a merger between the two LSPs.  Funding to assist this process was provided by Progress through Partnership.

The Steering Group of Worthing Together and the Board of Adur in Partnership each held an initial workshop with the consultants, Marilyn Taylor Associates, on  24 September 2008.

This was followed by a joint meeting, held on 10 December 2008, to consider a pre-circulated document from the consultants:  Report and Proposals, November 2008.  This, and notes of Marilyn Taylor's presentation at the meeting, may be seen by clicking on the links at the foot of this page.

At meetings of the Board of Adur in Partnership on 14 January 2009 and the Steering Group of Worthing Together on 21 January 2009, agreement was reached to work together towards a joint Sustainable Community Strategy for Adur and Worthing.
